Is there any news on them?

Has anyone noticed? And it continues to shrink. One the day the first list was released there was 90+ entries, now it's down to 85.

Concerned of the low numbers or pleased that it will mean higher quality skating? Happy that every participant can now skate both programs as well as enjoy more prize money or do you think the audience is being short changed? What are your thoughts?

I have just gone through the Europsort schedules and, unlike the Europeans, there is not much variation in the coverage of the 4 Continents depending on which version of Eurosport you are watching.

The LIVE coverage is exactly the same on all Eurosport variations.

Eurosport France only has one extra programme compared to International and Deutschland – another showing of the highlights of the Ladies Short on Sunday night.

In fact, the only real difference is that British Eurosport are trying to fill up gaps in their schedule by showing a lot of highlights programmes of the skating.

So, if they stick to what they plan, this could be the most comprehensive skating coverage Eurosport has given us in years! :biggrin:

U.S. Figure Skating names 4CC team

Pairs and Ice Dance official announcement from USFS:

At this stage in the season, top skaters from non european countries are using the four continents as a building block towards worlds in London Ontario and ultimately Sochi 2014. However, for some skaters, this is a last ditch effort to get those pesky Technical minimum scores in order to gain entry to the world championships, which this year is the main round of Olympic qualification.

Skaters who fail to make it or to not make the LP/FD at 2013 worlds will have to fight it out at Nebelhorn 2013 for the last spots.
