An over reliance on power/strength rather than technique.
We ain't seen the last of that song for a long, long time. Probably half of the senior ice dancers are going to use that song for the blues SD. Help, help me!!

Good for Diana, although I think she got slightly hosed on her score as usual (I know she needs better footwork/transitions/etc., but still I think she deserved a few more points for a nice clean skate). Was that Evanescence? I'm all for more girls skating to rock, but she could sell it a little better. I also think the dress was a bit too conservative for the program.
Oh god, I just teared up thinking about it!
There are so many other songs they could choose from. But hey what, that's why they call them War Horses. Who started the trend though? Were there some really great programs to that song? Maybe we need to reflect. hahah.

Take it easy, for it is just her junior debut. She has very nice quality of skating, and she is such a beautiful & elegant young lady...
I love watching her skate so much...

This is only the fourth season with vocal music and we already have vocal warhorses. Sigh...
I still think there needs to be a limit of how many skaters can use the same song. Ugh...

Yeah, and no under rotation either, so all the more weid that her score is so low. But the GOE is almost nothing and PCS are reallyyyyy low for such a program. :disapp:

It looks Rika the "complete package" in Japanese ladies. Her jumps are clean and spins are good. She may end up better than Marin Honda this season.
Anastasiia again showed her vulnerability. Her success rate in 3-3 is pretty low in recent competitions. She has to skate clean to be a contender. She is still 13, but since she had so much success so young, she doesn't seem to be making a lot of progress lately.
Aliza's final spin combo was innovative, but I don't think her jumps are that solid. So far, strangely, Alina last week made a stronger impression on me.

The top two were awesome even with Gubanova's mishap. Although I would have been pleased to see Kihira start her junior comp career with a 3A 
Hope it comes out with a vengeance in FS! (Plus I wonder if she could replace the 2A with the triple because she might need that extra 5 points...)
I thought Rika was spot on with expression, Anastasiia had quite lovely and controlled movement, but she was looking down all the time.
Soooo looking forward to the FS! It's looks like a killer gp season for junior ladies!
