I watched the gymnastics from Indianapolis. Memmel's uneven bars routine was awesome!

I saw a bit of it myself, but was unfortunately unable to watch the whole thing. :( Congrats on the winner and I cannot wait until the Worlds. When will we know who gets to make their respective world teams?

I don't know when we will know. I am anxious to find out myself.

Those tricks they do look impossibly hard!

And these girls all make what they do looks so easy. I guess that is a sure way to know that they are world class. I have read about the Romanian, Russian, Australian, and Ukrainian teams, and they each have young promising new comers that I desperately want to see do their stuff.

Khokina recently had a baby in the California for an actor. And is recovering. She plans to return to Russia with the child in a few months. She is also part of that country's Olympic Association.

Have China held their nationals yet? I so rarely get any news from that country.

This probably sounds like a REALLY stupid question. I love watching Gymnastics, but haven't been following things much at all during the season. When / where is World's this year?

The young gal who won the all-around for the US this year sure looked AMAZING on TV. (sorry, since I haven't been following I don't have the names planted in my brain). The gal who got something like a 9.9 on floor ex - WOW. Everything she did just seemed so effortless. I hope she can improve some on the uneven bars. Looks like the US has the makings of a very good team for Worlds.

The young gymnast you were refering to is Nastia Luikin, daughter of Soviet gold medalist, Valeri Luikin, and she has been hailed as the "next one". She is also a two time junior champion. And the worlds will be held in Melbourne Australia from November 21st to 27th.

I find it interesting that in looking at both the ladies and men's national team, there are so many new names. I guess just about every single Olympian except Chelsie Memmel (an alternate), has retired.
