First choice -- Elizabeth Manley, because I first saw her at the 82 Worlds and thought this girl is good and should not be in 23rd place after the SP, so 6 years later when she won the silver in Calgary I considered it to be one of my better early-career "scouting" acheivements.
Second -- Chen Lu. Ever graceful, always a joy to watch, and her bronze showing in Nagano coming off a disaster of a Worlds the previous season was for me one of the best Olympic skating moments ever.
Third -- Midori Ito, just edging out Roz Sumners. Just because she's Midori Ito.
My all-time female favorite is Gabrielle Seyfert, closely followed by Katarina Witt! Picking no. 3 is more difficult - Kristi, Oksana, Peggy, Janet Lynn...........
