FYI, Rena Inoue/John Baldwin and Naomi Nari Nam/Themi Leftheris (their public debut?) are scheduled for a Senior Pairs exhibition (competitive program, most likely) during a small, one-day club competition hosted by the Tri-Valley FSC in Valencia, California, on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 3:10-3:25 pm. If anyone happens to catch their performance, please share your impressions and comments (just be aware that withdrawals are common at these comps).

I'm gonna try to go to down to Valencia (I used to live there and I started skating there when it opened) so if I do, I'll be sure to post a report here...

Great news!! Naomi has been missed on the figure skating scene. I certainly hope this pair jells well and that they advance up the ranks.

I'm sure many of us remember Naomi's coming out party at the 1999 US Nationals, where she won the silver medal and stunned everyone with her poise and powerful jumps. She looked very much like the next US skating star.

Hopefully, her star will rise again.
