    Glad somebosy brought it up. I love Mao but she does seem immature. At least she can carry it off. Kimmie this year is trying take on a mature role but it isn't working.

    Remember Irina at seventeen seemed much younger than she was in the showtunes program or the Russian folk dance number two years later look at her now.

    Not everyone can take on the mature role of Salome at 15 like Michelle did.

    Well, it will be interesting to see how Mao fares against the mature 'artists' Arakawa and Cohen, this weekend at the Paris event. For that discussion we can move to the G-P events (spoilers area), this weekend.

    When I watch Mao skate, she reminds me of Michelle Kwan circa 1995 Worlds, ie before the "Salome" transformation. There is a light, airy quality to her skating, and her arsenal of triple jumps are very impressive, but she still strikes me as a junior skater in the process of breaking into the senior ranks. I think her PCS reflect that "immaturity".
