Surely they know who they are by now? Or will a pool of "callers" assemble in Turin & draw names out of a hat? Imagine the scrutiny for all four 'Callers' in Turin!

I wonder how many of the four callers (men, ladies, pairs, dance) will hail from Central/Eastern Europe, Israel or the former Soviet Union (what I call the 'former USSR bloc') vs. Western Europe (non-USSR sphere)? Will there be any North Americans? Any from anywhere outside of Europe or North America (such as China or Japan)?

My vote for MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN TURIN: whoever is assigned the role of "caller" for the Ladies figure skating competition. Think about it. That person has the power to call the level (1 through 4) of spirals, spin combos, etc. That person could 'set things up' for skaters of his own nationality, if he isn't an individual of the very highest ethical values. IMO, once we know the name &/or nationality of that caller, we are well on the way to knowing the podium finishes. :agree:

p.s. - I put Israel in the "former USSR bloc" because, as most of you know, the overwhelming majority of Israel Federations' officials & skaters come from Russia, Ukraine or other former USSR areas, e.g., Didn't the toe-tapping Ukrainean Yuri Balkov go over to Israel? Or am I mixing him up with the equally notorious Hungarian lady?
