Camille is Saint Saens' first name, the composer of The Swan which has nothing to do with Fokine's Dying Swan except for the music. Listen to the whole composition of The Animals by Camille Saint Saens.

Ok, let's see. I liked Sasha's bottom of her SP dress and wished it had continued to the top. I haven't figured out why she wears such deep V cuts, but oh well. I do NOT like that pale color on her for her LP dress. It's pretty, but a different color wouldn't make her look like she disappeared into the dress completely.
That's what I don't like about Sasha's dresses, too. The deep-v neckline is soooo unflattering, and her LP dress is like th total absense of color! Its dull and blah and boring.

The proper term for that activity is not "Yankee Polkafest" it's

Yankee Polkabration:biggrin:

The link is to the great Polkabration, 15 bands, to be held at Mohegan Sun Casino.

   Gimme some of that Polkabration!! ;)

Hope you got home safe and sound!

I loved both Sasha's dresses (LP and SP). I also liked Emily's SP, Kimmie's LP, and Alissa's SP. The worst dress was Jamie's - it made her look really ugly.

Tiffany Stiegler looks good in anything. Tanith Belbin DOESN'T look good in ANYTHING.

Kimmie's SP dress looked great on her - the LP dress was somewhat less effective, but OK.. ....I'm wondering if she will have new outfits for the Olympics.

I've always wondered why you practically NEVER see GREEN in skating? Yellow, blue, red, white, black, purple, orange, pink - but never GREEN! And I'm talking about REAL green - bright, Irish, "Kelly", or jade, mint, or emerald green.

ITA, Tiffany could wear a potato sack and make it look stunning! Tanith... she COULD look good in a lot of things, but all of her dresses this year make her narrow little hips look to be about three feet across! She goes for these wild designs, but I personally thought she looked best in that simple red dress from West Side Story. I also liked Kimmie's SP dress, very pretty but not too overdone with the splarkles, very classy.

It's just a little too busy for my taste. I prefer the uncomplicated look. Like THIS

That one is lovely. I really loved her 2 dresses from Nationals the year she skated pairs with Bert Cording.

Come on, any responses on my question about why green in its various shades(jade, emerald, kelly, mint, etc) is virtuallly never seen in skating?

B&K had really pretty green outfits for their Riverdance FD, and also white and mint green costumes once for their OD. Katy Taylor wore a white and green dress a year or two ago. I wore a teal green dress for my willow waltz test two weeks ago!

Sorry, I don't really know why green is not used often.

:) Well, OK, that's about 40 years ago. I believe a Hungarian dance team wore green outfits in the '88 Calgary games.

But I really was referring to Ladies and Pairs skating in the present times.

Oh! Yvonne Gomez wore a green dress during the 86-87 season.
