Is Mai Asada the same woman as Mao Asada who landed triple axels? If so, how come she did so badly?

Mai is the sister.

I think Katy is a force that will have to be rekoned with next season. She's always been an 'also ran' in Juniors but always in top 6. I think this will be her breakthrough comp and let's see her go from there. She will most likely get 2 GPs next season if the two Divas decide to quit.

Wow! Breakthrough season for sure!

Maybe Emily Hughes was smart not to go to 4CC, because I don't think she could have beaten Katy (who should have won the bronze medal at Nationals, IMHO). Katy is finally coming into her own. She was sorely undermarked at Nationals---the ISU judges gave her higher PCS scores than the US judges!

With her prize money, Katy should be closer to buying the pink Hummer of her dreams!!! Seriously - good for Katy! I am thrilled for her. She is our 'Gal for 2010 Olympics,' I predict!

Mai Asada is the 17-year-old older sister of Mao Asada. Her skating is obviously not in the same league with her kid sister.
