Viktor Petrenko - 'The Caller' (men's event)

Let's take a moment out to cheer Viktor Petrenko for his superb performance as 'The Caller' of last night's competition. A true champ with an eagle eye for calling things right.

Will Viktor also call tomorrow's finals?

I wonder if the Dance & Ladies events will be 'called' by past champs, too? Anyone know who'll be 'caller' for those two events?

EDITED TO CORRECT: Despite what NBC pointed out, Viktor is not 'THE' Caller. He is the Assistant Caller, while someone named Katerina Kamberska is the Caller. So cheers to Katerina too.

The Dance caller will be the same one that was at 4C's. Tanith and Ben said in an interview that that was one of the reasons they did 4C's, to be sure of their element levels before the Olys.

Pairs - Junko Hiramitsu

Men - Katerina Kamberska -- not Viktor! -- is the main caller. Viktor Petrenko is the Assistant Caller (so - another NBC commentators blooper....)

Dance - Andrei Dostatny (as at 4CC)

Ladies - the lead caller is NorthAmerican -- so good for Sasha? -- Michael Slipchuk of Canada; Assistant Caller will be 1980 Olympic Gold Medalist Annet Poetzch of Germany!!! (special fave of 'Frau Muller' of course)

Good for Michael!! I love the fact that ISU uses former skaters as Tech Specialist. Michael was never the best skater, but he managed to get one Canadian Title, when everyone else messed up.
