It would have been nice to see them in the final. As a Canadian the gold feels a tad empty without having played the US.

If only Cammi Granato had been on the team. I think the US coach messed up big time on that one.

ITA... however it's not at all bad for women's hockey as a whole as they were saying that the North American teams were too strong above the rest of the world (especially after team Canada beat the crap out of everyone), that there're concerns that the event might get pulled out of the winter olys. The fact there's a European team in the championship match ends that discussion for now.
