Champions on Ice question

Can anyone tell me how many cities a year Champions on Ice has been visiting the last several years? I know they've got an extended tour this year because of the Olympics, and I found an article that said they hit 85 cities after the 2002 Olympics, but I thought I'd heard they'd cut down drastically on tour stops in the intervening years but am having a hard time finding out exactly how many cities they went to.

Also, does anyone know if there's any site out there that lists all pro events per year? I know Golden Skate has the pro/pro-am competition results database, which is awesome, but I'm looking for other pro events like exhibitions and shows as well...

They're only visiting like, half that in regular tours - in 2002 and now 2006 the tours are extended because of it being an Olympic year.

COI did something like 85 cities in 2002; in 2003, 2004, and 2005, it did something like 25; and now it is having the post-Oly boom again. During the "post whack years", there would be an average of 50 cities or so.

I think my friend and I ended up with the tickets either 125$ a piece or 160$... not sure... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol

oh well whatever tickets with those prices I'm thankful I didn't have to pitch in for cost!

Thanks, Lanie & attyfan, that's the kind of information I was looking for. 25 cities a year, eh? And 50 cities/year during the mid-90's skating "boom".

I appreciate that, though the 2006 tour wasn't the one I was asking about, since I could find that information on COI's website. The ticket prices, though - that's why I thought briefly about going to COI this year and then changed my mind as soon as I visited Ticketmaster. Those are steep prices!

Not sure on the number of cities, but I got my tickets for COI Nashville in the mail last week

Me too!! My first COI show. I'm just beyond excited. Only problem is now I gotta wait until July.

I wish I knew someone who was in either Ohio or DC who would be kind enough to offer to take me because it's not coming to Pittsburgh and Dasha is unable to make the Long Island show!
