    Joannie cheering thread

    Joannie Rochette!
    Joannie Rochette!
In twenty-oh-six she's your blue chip bet!
She's got triple-triple and a level four spin,
The heart of a lion and the will to win!

Now Sasha, she's cute, but she's not Joannie!
She's gotta skate clean, stay offa her fanny!

Shizuka, she's lovely, Shizuka, she's swell,
But Joannie is the one that rings my bell!

Irina's not coming, but if she did
She'd end up chasing the Montreal kid!

(She'd end up chasing the Montreal kid.
    Sh-boom boom.)

I have become a fan of Joannie. I have not seen her compete often, but her long program at the Olympics was beautiful. She is a very talented skater with great flow across the ice. I hope she is on the podium at Worlds.

After Joannie's fifth place at the Olympics, I think that this is her time to shine. Her Olympic experience has given her confidence and it proved to her that she can do it when it counts. She was probably was a bit nervous at the Olympics with all the world watching but now she has that experience over, she knows that she can do it and will do it. She will be on home ice and more relaxed. Hope the skating gods are on her side.

I think going LP-SP-LP will help Rochette since it gives her the chance to put herself near the front from the starrt of the comp and she's pretty consistant across the board. To me she was the one breakout skater of the Olympics.

Hey, pete, Glad to see you back and your cheering poems.

Your avita shows you rooting for Fumie, yet here you cheering for Joannie.

I like both of them Fumie and Joannie. But I do prefer Joannie's style more than Fumie.

Good luck, Joannie! I'm pulling for Fumie and Sasha (assuming she's there?) too!

I am so looking forward to the Worlds. I have had Olympic withdrawl and I need some more skating in my life. I am so hoping to see great things from Joannie at Worlds. She will have the home town crowd on her side and I think that to win a medal will give her some confidence for next year. Go Joannie Go!!!!!!! I
