"Fire and Ice" is the Lower Cape Figure Skating Club's 27th annual showcase and will take place at the Charles Moore Arena in Orleans [Cape Cod] on Saturday, April 29, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 30, at 2 p.m. Tickets for the two-hour show are $10 for children under 12 and $15 for adults and are on sale at the arena and at the door. Denver, Colorado, May 5-7:
University of Denver alum. and U.S. national competitor Braden Overett (a wonderfully entertaining show skater!) is scheduled to perform two numbers in the "Silver Screen on Ice" show at the University of Denver, May 5-7 at Magness Arena, along with the 2006 Midwestern Sectional Junior Pairs champion team of Justin Gaumond (also DU) and Lisa Moore. Aspen, Colorado on May 6:
Aspen Skating Club's "Once Upon a Time - On Ice" will take place at Lewis Ice Arena on Saturday, May 6 at 4 & 7 pm.
Guest stars are 2005 U.S. junior champion Jeremy Abbott (also a fine show skater) and the 2006 Intermediate silver medalist dance team of Lili Lamar and Chase Brogan (both Jeremy and Lili are former Aspen SC members).

A silent auction will be held during the first performance (and
possibly both shows) to assist a scholarship fund for all skaters in
the Roaring Fork Valley who are members of the Aspen Skating Club and
want to compete but who have financial need. Currently, the value of

The first act will be individual Broadway numbers by soloists as a tribute to Chris Hefner. Featured as "Chris' Girls" are: Christine Zukowski, Melissa Bulanhagui, Adriana DeSanctis, British champion Vanessa James and Megan Williams-Stewart. "Chris' Guys" include: Shaun Rogers, Peter Briccotto, Zachary DeWulf, and Kevin Sun. There will also be an encore performance of the Peter Briccotto and John Coughlin duet/pair performance to "Bolero" that debuted at the "Skates for Katrina" benefit at UDel last October to considerable popular acclaim.

The second act will be a pared down version of the Broadway "Annie" musical featuring Rachel DeRita as Annie, Bridget Namiotka and John Coughlin as Grace and Daddy Warbucks, Priscilla Hill as Miss Hannigan, and Peter Briccotto as Rooster.

All performances will have a silent auction with prizes such as two twenty-minute lessons with Priscilla Hill, "Kimmie" and "Johnny baskets" with signed items from both in each, a "Broadway basket" featuring various autographed memorabilia, and many more items.

The American Cancer Society is the main sponsor of the show and will receive 50% of all net proceeds. The other 50% will go back to
Delaware Ice Theatre to start a skating program for special needs
children.
