Not a surprise at all. She pretty much wanted to quit after 2004 Worlds. Now with her OGM, I can't imagine why she would want to go any further.
SOI would be a nice fit for her.

Shizuka has so many opportunities in Japan, she may not be interested in SOI. I'm not sure how many shows are on the Prince Hotel tour, but she is a big draw there.

Not too surprising. She's had a great career and is a very good show skater, too. I wish her the best.

Shizuka will always be my favorite Japanese skater and I'll be that kid in the 22nd row whenever she's in a show (SOI?) near my hometown. Hope she has a great future as a pro.

In an article quoted on FSU, Shizuka was reported as saying that she would be with Champions on Ice. I tried to link directly to the story, but all I get now is that the story is retired.

Does anyone know if the Prince Ice shows have a set schedule?
