I would contact a professional photographer or even take them to a photo/camera shop - yes they do still exist - and ask them for advice. I used to work for a colour lab and as someone pointed out negatives can be made by someone who knows what they are doing. They are probably black and white no doubt so the quality should be good.

no all of the wedding photos are in color (they were married in 81, and color film was around then lol ;))

the problem is a lot of studios/prof camera shops/photographers won't print another photog's work without the written permission of the photographer...

Studios vs. Labs - that did get lost in the "mixer of my mind." :laugh: The studio probably does have some "policies" that don't have anything to do with "laws" per-say.
