Some I placed just for the "capture of the moment," like the smile or "right time" aspect trying to come though.

So if any of you wonderful and fantastic (schmooze schmooze) GS posters could pick 6-8 faves I would be greatly in your debt.
Thank you so much!!!!

Thanks for the sug.s. I am not that fond of 2 because the smile seems fake, but It seems you pick the most "professional looking" of the picks so I may trust your opinion and go with 2 of her.

Isn't the baby the cutest little thing? never got a smile though, Mom and Dad tried allot.

it could just be me, but #2 isn't GREAT because the eyes seem a bit soft. Did you use a softening lens? Rule number one of portraiture is sharp eyes...

it's a nice crop but I agree the smile is a little overbearing... I wouldn't use it...

now that I look at more, these I'm guessing are scans of actual pictures, not scans of negatives? that could be the reason I'm not seeing enough detail... *shrugs* I am not sure which ones I'd choose...

I was hoping you would give me feedback, and it was quality! Yep they are all scans and would have the "picked pics" taken to the studio for reproduction from the negs.

As a photographer, what would say to you I have a good "eye for direction?" Your opinion would hold a lot of weight with me - I also have to "sell the client" on alowing me to fufill their needs (BTW, I will also Have an Editor:laugh: ) so having them feel comfortable with my direction is important. Also work the angle that if we don't "show" we had SOME fun in working this project, then it will looked "Canned." Thank you!

Yah #2 just never did it for me but I get comments about it so I thought I should put it in the mix - same with 14, 22 and 23. They seem to capture a moment. That is more my angle for using them - I am "Media" with no specific - my degree is in Visual Communications (Business Identity, Video Application, Interior Design, etc...) and will work with teams I select for a number of local media environment applications.

From the lighting I can see on #2, I like the lighting... I don't l like the smile (again a little too much) and where she's holding your hands (for somereason I find it distracting) I do like the angle of the shot... and so for the positive reasons I understand why people like it... it is a very nice shot...

I'll take a look at the photos when I have a DSL modem and not the dial up... :)

No. \If you are really curious then you can check the look alike thread, I made the mistake then. I do look a bit different in the hair now though.
