Just curious to hear what other figure skating fans out there do for a living. I am currently a music education student, just finishing up my degree. I am doing my student teaching next semester, and then hopefully getting a real job. I also give about 30 piano lessons a week. How about you?

I work in sports marketing and public relations... Not as much fun as it used to be, but better than jobs I've had before... and it pays for my son's ever growing soccer expenses...

In regards to figurines, I don't know if I am comfy with what I have done, and I just finished re-doing one that I did (well I need to put the base on and the logo on the skates) as to " guy-appeal" but I just didn't like doing that kind of stuff anymore. Although I made over 2grand under a pseudo name - anyway I re-did her sorta to be an Ice Skater (Kandi Klaus Skates in Summer at the North Pole) and will put her on the market soon with my own name. The last one I do with a big chest and unrealistically small outfit. Maybe this should be a PM but maybe it is good for people to know you don't have to stick with one occupation stereo type and can still try at the same thing in a different way. It was easy money for a couple of years on the side and I will make up for it with some great Figure Skaters - and I love arts and crafts. So I am using that talent and enjoyment in a different way.

Wow you have Vasculitis, just like Ira. I admire you. Not just because of the correlation, but that is a strong soul and heart you have. You impress me even more. Lucky guy your beau is, lucky guy!

I am a student at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. I am studying Journalism and Public Communications. I will be going from full time to part time this semester due to dad's recent hospital stay. I am currently looking for a receptionist type job.

I am also a freelance photographer, however I have an aunt who would rather me work for free for her friends (because I live here free and clear that can be my payment UGH) than have me make some money. So I'm a frustrated artist at the moment.

I am in the process of a career change. Up until this summer I have been a permanent student getting degrees in Meteorology, but I've just been hired to teach high school math (algebra I and pre-cal), and I hope to be a drill team director.
