When did Katherine Hadford start representing Hungary? Does anyone know anything about this?

Brubaker and McLaughlin in first after SP. I'm impressed because he lost his original partner who did so well last year due to female growth.

Hadford competed in Hungarian Nationals last December and placed 3rd in senior ladies behind Julia Sebestyen and Diana Poth.

Pardon me for a minute, but I work for the Skating Club of Boston, so...

SQUEE! Horray for Juliana and Steven! They're both great kids, and I'm so happy for them. Does anyone know if there's a page somewhere with the elements performed? I'm curious to hear whether Steven went for his quad or not, and there's no article about the men's at USFSA yet, just the results.

Carriere didn't try the quad toe in his free skate but I heard that he was attempting the jump in practices there.

I don't know what happened to Juliana and Molly but bother showed good promise las years Nats.

Interesting Note: The Asian ladies are on the move.

And what did Choi do to win the Free Skate which moved her from 13th to 3rd?

I might also post a thread in the edge but does anyone what what "<" means on the protocols? At first i thought it might signify a downgraded jumps but then i saw some on some ladeis triples and since i doubt any of them are trying quads threw that idea out? Often its by the fisrst jump in a combination so i've seen 3S<+2T ??

yes....
"<" does refer to a downgraded jump

yep you're right, it does mean downgraded jump, so if there's a triple jump then <, it means that the triple was downgraded to a double, not a quad downgraded to a triple.

Joe

she did a 3sal-2loop-2loop combo a triple loop and a 3toe-2toe combo in the second half of her program and got quite a lot of extra credit for that

the nr 2 and 3 managed only single or double jumps and so Choi scored 7 points higher on her technical elements

About the notation for downgrade, this is a new convention this year. Last year, if your triple got downgraded to a double it was listed as a double in the protocols.

This year, I think they changed to rules so that a triple downgraded to a double still counts as a triple for Zayak purposes, hence the new notation. So we see 3S<+2T = 2.6 points (2S = 1.3 and 2T = 1.3).
