    ESPN Classic 7 Hour Skating marathon: Great Figure Skating Moments on Oct. 14

    ESPN Classic channel will kick off the 2006-2007 skating telecast season with a seven non-stop hour marathon of great skating moments. Featured will be highlights of the 1988 U.S. National Championships, 1996 Worlds, 1997 Worlds, 2005 Worlds, and the 2006 U.S. and World Championships. It all starts at 1 p.m. Eastern, on Saturday, October 14.

    Now, I wish that ESPN would now delve deep into the ABC Wide World of Sports vault and reair competitions from the 60's 70s and 80's. We could get alot of skating history on the web that way. Let's hope this actually happens over the next few years.
