They're talking about him on the Today show and Meredith was saying how awesome it was to work with him back in the day when she was a correspondant for CBS and that when she took the job on Today he sent her a note of congratulations and encouragement and she was so touched... but also that she didn't even know he was sick... said he was such a private person....
