And I was happy to see Johnny back IN Fairyland! I voted Sasha, Johnny, Sasha. After I saw his Swan I didn't think I could vote for Sasha over him, but then her GBA was just perfect. I agree re: T&B's tango music. Ick.Didn't get to vote since I was skating myself at the time, but after watching the tape, I thought Sasha and Emily both did great jobs.
Tanith and Ben's Tango was pretty good, too, but the music sucked.
There's lots of good Tangos, this was not one of them.
Happy to see Johnny back from Fairyland and in an almost normal costume.
Had I voted, Katy would've been the chosen one, and yes, it's because she is so damn cute!!!
Just for the record, here in Los Angeles, ABC has been running every skating competition in the wee hours of the morning for the last three Mondays (from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM), which is just fine with me. That's what VCRs are for. Considering the core audience, I guess they're just assuming that everyone either has TIVO or a VCR at this point. My final observation is simpy this: the only skating event to be shown on ABC is Marshalls cheesefest? And they wonder why the popularity of skating has declined?
That was a bit off on Peggy's part. If she listened it was sung by a tenor and not a soprano.Pet peeve - Peggy and 'Ave Maria' -- not being associated with male skaters -- no offense, but Jeff Buttle's was waaaaaaaaaaaay better, IMO, and he's a male.'
Overall, it was a fun event to watch.
