Figure skating getting a upgrade.

Now that figure skating is becoming very popular in Japan, do anyone think there will be more business investments in figure skating products(In Japan). Other sports like basketball, soccer, or tennis have had huge technological advances. It would be nice if companies were competing for a better design of ice skates that decreases the stress on hips while doing jumps.

I would also really love a spinal brace to keep my back perfectly aligned all the time.

It probably would help. Skaters can always try to sneak it into competition under costumes. I can hear Dick Button now. "Just look at that wonderful posture. You just don't see that a lot." That is before the brace flys off in a spin or something.
