Best programs of this season?
What are your picks for the best programs of this season? I propose three standards for the picks:
1) New program;
2) Best choregraphy;
3) Excellent execution(cleanly skated for at least once).
Here are my three picks:
1) Mao Asada's Short Program, 'Chopin's Nocturne',
2) Yu-Na Kim's Long Program,
3) Shen & Zhao's Long Program, 'Meditation de Thaïs',
I don't watch ice dancing, and I don't think there's any 'mini masterpiece' among men's new programs, so that's all I can come up with. There are obviously some other excellent new programs in this season, but I don't think they can match these three.
Feel free to chime in(provide a youtube link for your picks).

Reason: adding other programs
Gregory & Petukhov's FD as 'Adam and Eve' at Skate America was just flat stunning
and yes I'm biased, but I still say it's the BEST of the season
I love Lambiel's SP (great music) although he hasn't skated it well yet.
I also love Takahashi's LP, Domnina/Shabalin's OD and FD, and Dubreuil/Lauzon's FD.
Two absolute faves:
Nobunari Oda "Fly Me to the Moon" (SA, NHK, GPF was great presentation-wise, but the jumps went AWOL)
Mao Asada "Nocturne" (GPF, SA - I watched the NHK in such a bad quality that I can't say much about the performance)
Shen & Zhao "Meditation de Thaïs"
Miki Ando "Scheherezade" (Campbells, SA & TEB)
Nobunari Oda "Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.4" (at NHK)
Daisuke Takahashi "Phantom of the Opera" (at NHK)
Virtue & Moir - OD (Skate Canada)
A few others that I am including...just because I'm a sucker for what strikes ME as a good program...
Sarah Meier, LP from CoR (one doubled jump, but otherwise perfect....I just find her enchanting)
Virtue/Moir FD from Skate Canada (just a beautiful DANCE free dance, smooth and elegant)
Denkova/Staviski's FD, which I just find stunning (I think each time they've performed it has been equally impressive, this is just the first link I could find)
