Takahashi and Oda over 80s again!
I really want Yukina Ota to win a place among the 3, after a long hiatus from figure skating! For me she is one of the best and well-rounded figure skaters from Japan!
But with the intense field i doubt it if the Japanese Figure Skating Federation would allow another skater in the golden podium with the likes of Mao Asada, Miki Ando and Fumie Suguri!
Here are some Ladies SP Results from FSU (very incomplete)
71.14 Mao Asada
69.50 Miki Ando
58.62 Yoshie Onda
54.46 Yukina Ota
52.90 Aki Sawada
51.78 Nana Tekeda
48.72 Akkiko Suzuki
47.54 Satsuki Muramoto
37.78 Haruka Miki
35.86 Yuko Iwaki
28.26 Mai Furukawa
27.32 Mio Yamazaki
Mai Asada, Yukari Nakano, Fumie Suguri still to skate....
Some reports from FSU
Onda...new program....3Lz+2T, 3F, 2A
Ota...3T+2T, 3S, 2A....standing ovation![]()

Thanks for the update...I'm dropping off to bed myself, but I was gonna ask, where's Suguri??? Then I saw that she's yet to skate, lol, phew.
Good god, Mao. Getting 70+ again, but I guess since this is Nationals shouldn't take that score too seriously.

Not a good competition injury-wise, Kozuka injured himself in a warm-up and bombed both programs. Oda is suffering from a pain in the right knee and his jumps are getting unstable (he had problems with 3A and 3F in SP and 3-3-2 combo in LP, plus he fell on his second 3A). I'm worried about his policy of "If something goes wrong, I'll just practice harder". The pain has started at NHK and his jumps are becoming steadily worse ever since. :(
It could be Nobunari is going into a slump which all athletes and teams do during their eligible and even professional careers. Oda is a beautiful skater and when he snaps out of the slump, he will be a gold contender again.
I'm just hoping that knee is ok.

Well, Takahashi just scored the second highest total in the history of the CoP. (Plushenko had 258.33 at the Olympics.)
And he did it in Japan.with Japanes judges!

Miki Ando seems to have injured herself during the performance and had to stop performing. She's still second overall, though.
Yukari Nakano went for the 3A, but fell.
Mao Asada skated perfectly clean.
Fumie Suguri had some problems with jumps at the end of the program, she doubled the flip and stepped out of it and underrotated & 2-footed her 3S.
