Did Anyone Watch "Manor House"

This was a British Reality program. I like their reality programs the best. Usually it's educational. This program was like "Upstairs Downstairs." One of my favorite British programs of all time! A family and others who were in the roles of servants set in the Edwardian period stayed in a magnificent English manor for three months and lived the Edwardian lifestyle. It was really interesting as well as educational. I really enjoyed it.

Lad, I loved it. Now that's what I call compelling drama 8o
This program had particularly well executed cinematography. Not only were the people interesting, but the house was included as a "character" in the whole story. Brilliant TV.

....true appreciation must have something to do with seeing the incredible qualities of Karen Magnuson's skating:rollin:

I thought it was funny when the "scullery maid" realized that back then servants actually had to work. Since in real life she was used to sleeping all day and partying all night, she quit.

I cried with them when it was over! I think what the Lady in Waiting said about how far women have come since then was very touching. It was great fun watching all of them trying to cope with their duties and get along. I think had they lived in that time period most of them would have been "sacked!" The butler was great - just like Hudson from Upstairs, Downstairs. My goodness, but we have it easy now. I am glad you all enjoyed the program. Thanks for the feedback.
