Intermediate Test Question

For the freeskate test, one of the reqired element is a foward sit spin with a change of foot. Des this mean into a back sit, or can it be into another position. ?

That element is listed on the test form as "sit to change foot sit spin - 4 revolutions each foot in position."

So yes, it needs to be a sit position on the second foot. There doesn't seem to be any requirement to do the forward sit first, but you should do whichever way you can do better, with at least 4 revolutions on each foot.

If you want to do forward sit to back upright or back camel, that would be one way to fulfill the combination requirement on this test ("one change of foot and one change of position").
