No, not yet Ant, will post as soon as it's confirmed. :)

[Though I'm not too happy, as I haven't got Sky Sports]. :frown:

No i don't have sky sports either! Figure skating is the only thing i watch and that's mostly on Europsport...though i noticed over christmas that the Michael Bolton on ice thing was on and repeated several times on sky sports.....;of course i'm not sure i could have watched a skating show that was entirely michael bolton songs...i don't like show skating enough to sit through that caterwaulling!

Ant

PS the new nisa website is up and looks like its 100 years on from the old one!

They still haven't got any British results up yet though - well into the 2nd day of competition. :disapp:

Sky does tend to broadcast alot of packages of skating shows from America, usually around Christmas, but it's not worth paying the exhorbitant fee for.
I still have my old Astra satellite dish that Eurosport International is on, it's great for Euros and Worlds, and the Tennis. :agree:

Day 4

Very interesting results in the Singles SPs today.

http://www.johnds.com/

Great comeback by Jenna McCorkell, for a 10 point unnassailable lead!

Incredibly close in the Men's, the podium could be made up any one of 5 or 6 skaters tomorrow, with the Winer still in doubt.

The Dance Team for Warsaw will be as last year with the Kerrs and TG/P, but a contest for Bronze is developing, with the rapidly improving Trippick & Burns. :)

GO THE BRITS!!!!!!!!!!

Ant, where are you? [I'm talking to myself here!]

Hamer & McCorkell win the titles.

Vanessa James won the Free, but had too much ground to make up overnight after the SP, so Jenna stayed ahead overall. Hopefully Vanessa will be sent to JW with Jenna going to Warsaw. :)

In the Men, once again Thomas Paulson had the best PCS scores, but didn't do enough technically, so John Hamer won another British title. Hopefully Thomas will come back stronger next year and win as he is clearly the more stylish skater of the 2, and I prefer the more artistic male skaters myself. ;)

Hmmm, sorry to disappoint you Ant, as I know you were looking forward to it, and I feel rotten having encouraged you to purchase tickets, but I've heard from other fans that the Blackpool shows with the Russian skaters have been cancelled. :frown:

I don't know if they've contacted you, or you've heard anything, I've emailed the show's press contact, and will report back if I get a reply.

Apparantly they couldn't guarantee all the skaters would travel to the shows... so decided to cancel.....

Day 5 pics from the British should be coming up soon....Miffy is having a night out lol! :agree:

Thanks for you rkind words La Rhumba. To be fiar i'm smarting more from having a mid-way through the show cancellation from kylie than the ice skating!!

Was away for the weekend so couldn't join you in the chat for the British!

Any reports on jumps landed from the skaters? I remember last year i was sat with two great girls from scotland and we had a bet on how many clena triples we would see from the ladies in the LP...we went 3, 4 and 5!!

Glad to see that Thomas Paulson had the highest PCS - i absolutely love his skating style. John has to get props for his technical content though and that's what he needs to be competitive in Europe. Any explanation on David Hartley finishing last in the LP  ?? I have liked his skating for a while now.

Also i thought that Tristan Cousins was going to be competing at nationals this year. I presume if he wasn't t his knees playing up again?

Any news on how Jenna was looking? Has she managed to get the harder triples back again?

Very please for Sinead and John - looking at the PCS were they realistc and commensurate with their improvements or was there a little natioanl bias going on there?

Also Jenna looks like she has slimmed down an awful lot since i last saw her competing - her legs looked very thin whereas in the past she's had very strong muscular legs.

Oh Ant! Sorry to hear about the Kylie Concert, I heard a news report about it, but didn't imagine that's where you were for the night. Shame! You've had no luck recently with buying tickets for shows. :disapp:

Good news for those of us without Sky, heard back from NISA's Keith Horton at last [apparantly he was away before the British.]

"As you will have seen we did not stream the event this year. However the good news is that we have produced a 30 minute video which will be broadcast on Sky in February and after this it will be available to watch on our new web site for those that do not have access to SKY TV." :)

Review, including Jump details here. ;)

Those two Scottish girls you sat next to last time sound familiar! :)

Re the Kerr's PCS:
TBH I don't think S&J were overscored at all, if you look at their PCS scores they are all mid 7s, and in the GPs this season their PCS scores have all been high 6s to low 7s, so I wouldn't say that was a great exaggeration, as both the Times & Telegraph reporters said they skated "superbly", and everyone commented how much they've improved this season under Platov, although ofcourse every skater's scores usually go up for their own Nationals. ;)
