Prom Hair Help!!

ok... I'm polling some of the boards I go to about how I should do my hair :) :lol: prom is THIS SATURDAY! My Dress is Lavendar in a Greek Goddess Style(though I do not in anyway consider myself a goddess! :lol: )

here's one I'm looking at... I will have more as I go looking for more :lol:

<img src="http://www.hairboutique.com//whgallery/whgallery019.JPG"/>
<img src="http://www.hairboutique.com//wgallery/gallery392.jpg"/>

BTW I have medium brown hair with a hint of red... it's straight as straight can be... and my face is oval shaped... if that means anything at all :lol:

any suggestions or other websites would be great!

You have the same hair colour as me - Auburn! My hair is very, very thick and hard to control because it's so dry. I am constantly plagued with it. It was long but, I finally got it cut mid-length. It was too much work long - as much as I prefer long hair. So about the "do." Apparantly, an oval face can wear any style! I like the two pictures here. Is your hair long? Is the dress long? I like the simplicity of the first style, but the other one is also lovely and dramatic. What sort of look are you going for? Have fun!

Hi Toni,

Both of those styles could be called "Greek Goddess" and therefore, I say go for one! I bet either will look fabulous.

Have a good time at the prom and don't forget - we want to see PICTURES!!!

BTW, how is life with two puppies going?

Number two! Sophisticated, yet kicky.:)

If your hair is the same color as the model, you're really lucky. Very pretty.

it's going well :lol: Yuka is now going potty outside... and we have the fencing material on it's way... so hopefully I won't be walking her around the yard too much longer

Lulu still refuses to poo outside unless she's off the leash :p

I think the first one is nice, because it is not to mature looking. Fresh and cute. You don't want to look to matronly. The second hair style reminds me of the hair my sister had in the '60's.

Go for something just right for your age.

IMO, I think the 1st picture looks a bit bridesmaid-y. Don't think Gibson girl = Greek.

Of the 3, I vote for the 2nd picture. You can use some sparkly pins instead of the 'flower bud' pins - it'll be a more subtle touch.

<span style="color:navy;font-family:georgia;font-size:small;">Oh, now that I've seen the dress, definitely #2 -- #1 is not fancy enough for that style of dress. :D We do expect pictures with you, the beau and the hair!</span> :D

<span style="color:navy;font-family:century gothic;">Definitely style #2 or something like it. I love the dress! You definitely want a dramatic or elegent look. No date? That's too bad!

I really like #2, it seems to fit with the dress, and its more fun.
Ahh!!! This reminds me that I'm going to have to do something with my hair for prom/dinner dance(may 30), and I haven't even begun to think about it! My hair is not at all cooperative with anything I do (or attempt to do.)
My stylist better be a miricle worker....

Re: Prom Hair Help!!

Hi Toni,

Love the dress. Agree with those who voted for style #2. We're all looking forward to seeing how you looked!

BTW, the girl in style#2 looks alot like my daughter, especially when she has colored her hair red/auburn. She's been coloring it since she was 12, so I'm not really sure just WHAT her natural color is anymore! Can't even use her brother's hair to guess the color, since he's been sporting the bald military cut since he joined the army reserves in high school. (He's busy earning fun new badges for his uniform at Fort Bragg. Says he'll look like a Nicaraguan general before he's done! Gotta entertain himself somehow.)
