I'm surprised Emily beat Joannie on the PCS scores. Joannie beat Emily on the TES. I've always found Rochette's skating skills to be above Hughes'.

Chinese lady [sorry no name] skating well after initial fall, dressed in red to classical music. Lots of missed jumps though, triples turned into doubles and singles.

sounds like she's out of it. Looks like Hughes will get at least silver...depends on how that last Japanese lady skates

Actually if the repeated jump isnt in combination its base value is multiplied by a factor of 0.80. so her second triple flip and lutz were only worth 80% of the base value but then multiplied by 1.1 because it was in the back half of the program.

How did Huges beat Joannie in the PC, but Joannie beat Huges in the TES? That makes no sence. Shouldn't it be reversed?

Come on Kimmie take this whole thing. I like KMs LP this year but I guess I'm in the minority.

This is what I thought must have happened (the reverse of what did) until I looked at the scores. No way, to me, should Hughes beat Rochette in the PCS. In the TES I can actually see it because while Rochette popped her lutzes, she also executed three combinations/ sequences of jumps which is really important for top technical marks.

kimme popped the flip? wow. emily may win this thing. Blue? i hated that dress. I liked the red one she wore at natioanls. and the black very simple thing she bought in paris.
