What do people know about Yea-Ji Shin?

I used to know her (long time ago about 6~7 years ago) but have lost track of her. How is she? Is she still skating? She was the national champion of South Korea when I knew her.

The talk about Yu-na Kim has made me curious about Yea-Ji.

There are two "Yea-Ji Shin" among South Korea figure skaters.

Elder Yea-Ji Shin who was the South Korea national champion retired from figure skating.
Thanks for clarifying! I vaguely remembered that there were 2 skaters with this name, especially when I noticed that the younger Yea-Ji Shin's ISU bio didn't show that she had been a Korean national champion.

Thanks everyone for responding. The Yea-Ji I knew was the elder one. I knew her when she trained in the summer with Frank Carroll and Ken Congemi.

Has she retired for sure? Someone sent me a youtube video of Korean Nationals this year and the skater looked like the elder Yea-Ji. Does anyone know if this is her?

The younger Yea-Ji includes "El Segundo USA" [California] as one of her training locations, which is where Carroll and Congemi are based: http://www.isufs.org/bios/isufs00006265.htm

This is video of Yea-Ji (younger) who also competed at the 2007 Winter Universiade in Italy, the Asian Winter Games in China, and Four Continents in Colorado, and is competing this week at Junior Worlds. The music in this Korean Nationals videoclip sounds like Cirque du Soleil, which is the free skate music listed in the younger Yea-Ji's ISU bio.

Also, she's wearing the same blue dress in the videoclip as well as in the Four Continents FS photos at: http://www.catslair.com/skating/2007/4Cs/pics/Ladies/yea-ji.shtml
