Question!

well I'm (finally) able to get my own skateboard so i was wondering if you guys can help me out...i decided now that my mother returned(long story ) and shes giving me some money i decided to invest on skateboarding since its a sport i really love and always wanted to take part in...

so what should i buy? i mean length in the board etc...
