Valentin Piseev: "We have not officially approached the French Federation"
Today, Russian figure skating federation president Valentin Piseev gave additional explanation to IA "Sportcom" regarding the new international team of Valeria Vorobieva (Russia)/ Jerome Blanchard (France) that trains in Chicago with a Russian coach Oleg Vasiliev.
"In order for the team to skate at international competition, we do indeed need a permission of the French figure skating federation. However, such a request is made not by the coach but by the federation. We have not sent such a letter. Prior to writing and send it, I need to have a chat with the coach Oleg Vasiliev to get a clear explanation from him", commented Valentin Piseev.
