The Broadmoor Open is an annual club competition in which a number of notable skaters will debut their competition programs for the new season. A live webcast of the events held in the World Arena in Colorado Springs started on Wednesday and will continue through Saturday, June 23rd. These events, plus the Freestyle, Artistic and Dance events held in the Olympic rink, will be available for on-demand viewing for 3 months.

Webcast info ($25 for the 4-day event plus on-demand viewing for 3 months):

Senior Grand Prix rookie Jeremy Abbott plans to debut his new programs -- "Treat" by Carlos Santana (SP choreographed by Kurt Browning) on Friday between 10:45-11 am Mountain time, and "Ghost Waltz" from the Mistletoe Bride ballet by Paul Chihara/"Jazz Suite Waltz" from the Eyes Wide Shut soundtrack/"River Waltz" from The Painted Veil soundtrack/"Masquerade Waltz" by Aram Khachaturian (FS choreographed by Tom Dickson) on Saturday between 11:05-11:25 am Mountain time.

Keauna McLaughlin & Rockne Brubaker (Sr. GP rookies, like Abbott) are also scheduled to compete their new programs. Rachael Flatt debuted her new senior free skate (to a modern-sounding piano concerto) in the Senior Ladies qualifying round on Thursday and will skate in the SP Final on Friday and FS Final on Saturday. Several of her fellow club members and Junior Grand Prix competitors this fall also scheduled to compete at the Broadmoor Open are: Brandon Mroz and Austin Kanallakan (in the Junior Men's event, as well as the Senior Jumps event together with Abbott), Alexe Gilles (Junior Ladies SP & FS Finals), Jessica Rose Paetsch & Jon Nuss in Junior Pairs (their new programs are "Por Una Cabeza" (SP) and "Capone" by Ronan Hardiman (FS)), and Piper Gilles & Tim McKernan (will debut their Junior Free Dance as an exhibition).
