Okay, you must select one-- and only one-- program that you could name as your all-time favorite program and add a link to it.

Here's mine:

It is the sexiest thing I've ever seen. Paul Martini-- yowza!!!! We will ever get a pair as musical as Underhill and Martini ever again?? FYI: Ekaterina Gordeeva once told Barb Underhill that she wanted to be able to skate just like her someday...

Great topic idea, dutchherder! If I had to choose only one all-time favourite program, this would be it:

But your choice is definitely high on my all-time favourite list, too...and that's the first time I heard that comment from Katia. Interesting to note that was also one of the few programs which beat G&G in pro competition.

Anything from Yagudin at 2002 Worlds.

Gladiator, Winter, and Man in the Iron Mask are all masterpieces.

2 of my favorites have already been posted - MK' SP and LP from US Nat's 98. She made me cry during both performances when I was watching from home.

Here's another fave.. Kristi's Original Program at 92 Oly.s

I also love Underhill and Martini's Unchained Melody. I couldn't believe that they weren't a couple after watching that, but they were both married to other people and later that season they announced that she was pregnant with twins.

There are so many really great programs, but my all-time favorite HAS to be Michelle's Rachmaninoff from 98 nationals. She had high and well-executed jumps, great fluidity throughout the program, and such wonderful emotion and expression!

Go Michelle!
She was incredible in that Rach. I just couldn't resist watching other clips on youtube of her either. The East of Eden proam was so beautifully ethereal, and the The Feeling Begins was stunning. So much figure skating talent that woman had, and she was a beautiful versatile figure skater - not just a ballet-like mimic.

I would suggest all to watch these three skates and view the diversity of the music and how she captures the mood of each without resorting to a story.

I believe she started the whole trend of lyrical skating for all the young ladies today.

Idleracer,

I forgot about Lobel's "Pink Ballerina" program! That was great! What's he doing these days?
