News U.S. Pairs Team Namiotka & Coughlin Announce End of Partnership

    Announced today by USFS: http://www.usfigureskating.org/event_story.asp?id=39010

I really enjoyed this young pair team and thought their lines and connection with each other, as well as to the audience, were just wonderful to watch when they were 'on.' I'm sad that more skating fans did not get a chance to appreciate their talent as a team since they were never televised nationally in the USA.

Found one video on youtube -- it's their "Time To Say Goodbye" exhibition from 2007 Junior Worlds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h-f_Bc1RXk

Can someone upload Namiotka/Coughlin's 2006 Junior Worlds "Prince of Egypt" free skate to youtube sometime? That's definitely one of their best competitive performances!

Wow... that exhibition performance is quite nice... I'd never heard much about this pair, other than seeing their website on FSO. If any videos of these two in competition exist, I'd really like to see them!

Wow, we really do miss sooooo many wonderful skaters and teams when we only rely on the major tv coverage. I'm going to have to rethink things - maybe sign up for icenetwork.

Thanks for the link - it was wonderful to watch this team and I wish them both all the best.

What is it with so many promising couples splitting up? Yes, he was a bit stiff but he's a male. By the time he would get to Seniors he'd be ready to steal the thunder.

Hope they both find new partners.

I'll miss this team. They did very well at this past Nationals. I hope John finds a new partner quick since he wants to compete this upcoming season, and I wish all the best to Bridgette as well.

He has been reported as trying out with Kendra Moyle who broke up with Seitz this year.

I am very bummed by this news. I wish John the best of luck with a new partner (any girl would be very blessed to have such a supportive and funny partner) and Bridgette all the happiness she is looking for in whatever path she chooses for herself (she seems like a sweet, smart, in charge kind of woman!).

Well after trying, I guess my answer is no. I can't seem to convert the file I have. I did upload it to You Share

They are also the first pair on the ISU video website under 2007 Junior Worlds LP.
