It seems that when people speak of world champions and medalists, they tend to talk about the world champions who repeat, who do something new for skating, etc. And why shouldn't they, right? Those people gave something to the sport.
There are world champions and medalists, however, who are rarely mentioned--I thought I'd start a thread with their names and some videos =)
Shishkova/Naumov RUS - 1994 Worlds (1st)

Kovarikova/Novotny CZE - 1995 World champions, I could only find their 1994 world performance

Holly Cook USA - 1990 world bronze medalist

Claudia Leistner FRG - 1983 and 1989 World silver medalist

Anna Kondrashova URS - 1984 World brinze medalist (but I couldn't find it--she does the first doughnut spin I've seen)

Kira Ivanova URS - 1985 World silver medalist (I would've posted her 84 bronze in the Olympics, but that was just bad--this one was OK--here you see a very young Maria Tchaikovskaya, Maria Butyrskaya's coach)

I'm sure there were others that I've forgotten...
(on a sidenote, a majority of the 80's music for the ladies was so bad!)
