New USFS Bios.

For those interested, the USFS has put up new bios of their marquee skaters such as Meissner, Hughes, Czisny, and Flatt. There are also new pics of the latter three.

Carmina Burana for Emily? Interesting choice, but looking forward to seeing it. Is David Wilson choreographing again? Last year, Mark Mitchell did her SP and David choreographed the long.

Rachael Flatt's costume designer is Julie McDonough - is this Ann Patrice's mother???? Just as long as we don't have literal costumes (as in APs Swan Lake and Madame Butterfly numbers) and the number of sequins is tasteful....

She lists locks of love as her favorite charity. Several people noticed she had cut her hair on the Champs Camp photos, maybe that's where her locks went? Good for her if that's true.

Rachael Flatt & Caroline Zhang have the same choreographers: Tom Dickson for SP, Lori Nichol for LP. Interesting...

I think Carmina Burana would work well for Emily: energetic & dramatic.

Though I think the height is wrong. She was listed a 5'0" last year, but I think she grew.

Photoshop, yes, plus making the photos super-small. Larger photos either reveal more flaws or require more editing

maybe not photo shop, but they are probably wearing plenty of makeup for these shots. Is alissa only 5"4 as her bio states? she appears much taller.

It's not clear from Hughes' bio which choreographer did which program (Mark Mitchell and David Wilson are still listed as her choreographers).

Yes, it is. I believe McDonough has been Flatt's costume designer for a while now -- she does quite a few of the Broadmoor SC skaters' costumes.

I actually don't like that picture. It seems so unflattering somehow.

Isn't that, like, totally obvious?

EDIT: It says the same for Alissa Czisny too. (along with a very stunning picture...WOW)

Emily is 18 and still eligible for Junior internationals, but Alissa just turned 20 and has been ineligible since last season.

Julie McDonough sews for many local Colorado skaters as well including Flatt, who, IIRC, has been designing and making Flatt's costumes since she was a novice lady. Found a link to 2007 Broadmoor Open, where Flatt debuted her new programs (SP: Ain't Necessarily So; LP: piano concerto...did not recogize the piece of music, but suited Flatt nicely), with new costume. Going to assume that this dress is one of McDonough's as well. Very elegant, but simple. Quite flattering to Flatt!
