Darn - she was one of the few that stood out in the crowd, too.

I voted for Kimberly (Frenchie's partner in the team auditions) and Ruben. Everyone before Ruben just didn't have it. My tape ran out after Kimberly.

Re: damn

This is terrible. What, American Idol is so pristine that they care where somebody worked four years ago? Fox TV, the network that makes its living by mocking the institution of marriage in shows like The Millionaire and Bachelorette, all of a sudden is afraid of what sex will do to their image?

I hope Frenchie sues their SORRY, FLAT behinds.

And remember, Nikky worked in a strip club last year and was in the top 5. I see a huge contradiction with the way this is being handled.

Mike, agreed! But now we know why her nickname was Frenchie. It's the sexy voice.

Re: Frenchie MIA

I am so mad about this!!!

ps I loved both Ruben and Kimberley, but I really want Clay to get to the top 10, so I only voted for him (I'm betting that R and K are the 2 who move on)

Re: Frenchie MIA

Does anyone know what she is alleged to have done on this "adult" web site and why that would warrant dismissal:rolleyes: ? Did she just talk dirty or were nude photos of her displayed or sex videos? I mean there is a slippery slope for what would be considered "unwholesome". Is there a morality clause that the prospective contestants must sign? I suppose that if there were one, then automatic dismissal would be warranted if a person lied about their past:( . I, for one, would have loved it if Frenchie had won the whole thing - she was fabulous:D . Her friend was obnoxious last night - what was her name? Kimberly? I didn't like her sass of Simon, that might backfire on her - I guess we'll see tonight. She was the best singer out of the lot though. I want the Howdy Doody guy - Clay? - to go through the nex round too.

Here are some details about Frenchie's brief career as a porn site model.

About Clay, although he didn't make the cut last night I think he's the leading candidate to come back as a "wildcard."

Re: Frenchie MIA

THAT REALLY IS TO BAD=SHE HAS SUCH A GREAT VOICE=I WAS ROOTING FOR HER

I wonder if you looked at the past of the ones who let her go= would you find something that they don't want people to find out about==just a thought

Re: Frenchie MIA

Remember the Vanessa Williams-Miss America scandal? For you younguns, Vanessa Williams was the first black Miss America and then a few months after she won, nude photos of her getting frisky with another woman were published and Williams had to relenquish her crown. But Williams went on to become the only Miss America to have a successful entertainment career. So, my hope for Frenchie is that the publicity from AI's incredibly hypocritical move works FOR her and that we will soon be hearing and seeing Frenchie as an Aretha for the 21st Century. I'm sorry we won't be able to see a big-voiced big-bodied beautiful woman kick all that skinny flat-voiced booty, but this could be a bigger stepping stone to stardom than Frenchie than AI. Some smart promoter is going to see what millions of Americans saw. I say we'll be seeing Frenchie in the big time within two years.

AI still sucks for doing this though.

I think Mary Ann Mobley(Miss America 1959),Lee Meriwether(Miss America 1955) and Phyllis George(Miss America 1971) might disagree with that. :D

Re: Okay, Pati

Oh, I just knew somebody would bring up Mary Ann Mobley (daytime TV talkshow cohostess with hubby Gary Collins, also in a couple of Elvis movies), Lee Meriwether (TV actress best remembered for being Catwoman on "Batman" and a regular on "Barnaby Jones") and Phyllis George (sportscaster, TV personality, convenience-food entrepreneur--her favorite recipe is Coca Cola chocolate pan cake) I'll even throw in Leanza Cornett (MA 1993) who hosts "New Attitudes" on Lifetime Television. Okay, I'll change it to "Vanessa Williams was the only former Miss America to have a successful big time entertainment career.":D
