Re: New article on Michelle's plans for the season

Thanks a bunch for the link, Lavender. Here is my very, very, very favorite part:

<blockquote><strong><em>Quote:</em></strong><hr>"She will return to summer school at UCLA on Tuesday."
Here's an earlier story about the Micheel at the Alltel Ice Den All-Atar Camp:

www.azcentral.com/communi...n07Z8.html

I wonder how they got Michelle to come? Let's see, the Alltel Ice Den is the home of the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. I wonder if their star defenseman, Brad Ference was one of the instructors at the camp this year?:D

Mathman, that incurable romantic.

Let's see a BA degree requires 125 credits, I believe.

Summer school one can earn 6 credits. Yup, she has no plans for graduation.

That sentence about flying to New York for choreography. Is that like recent? Will she be looking for someone like a broadway choreographer? Oh, she is mysterious.

Choreography

<blockquote><strong><em>Quote:</em></strong><hr>That sentence about flying to New York for choreography. Is that like recent? Will she be looking for someone like a broadway choreographer?
To the best of my knowledge, Nicolai Morosov is still based in Connecticut, so I think it most likely that Michelle is working with him for the choreography of her new program(s) again. It would be very easy for him to come to NYC -- or for Michelle to go to CT. As always, I'm quite curious about what her music selection will be.

Ditto about being glad that she is taking summer courses at UCLA. At the start of the COI tour I thought that this could likely be what she might do. COI ended on June 1 and the first of UCLA's summer sessions didn't begin until several weeks later. Good for her!

Re: Choreography

I'm just so happy she's doing what she wants and seems so content with her life right now.
Joe ... the article seemed to indicate it was happening right now ... her going to NY.
Also ... I work for United Airlines and just yesterday one of the flight attendants told me that about 3 weeks ago he had Michelle on one of his flights ... a NY to San Fran flight. So I bet she has been working on her programs for a little while now.

Mathman ... romance is good!!!

LAVENDER:

Thanks for the article. So now I know where Doug Ladret (Canadian Pairs champion) is! I wonder where his partner "Tuffy" Christine Hough is? I loved to watch these two skate. She was fearless - that's why he called her "tuffy."

Sorry to "steal the thunder" from Michelle, but as a Canuck, I was quite surprised to see Dougs' name in the article. Good for him.

"Tuffy" and Doug competed at five World Championships and two Olympic Games between 1988 and 1992 but were often overshadowed by their Canadian teammates. As professionals, their personality and diversity made them crowd favorites. They retired in 1996 and today Christine is the mother of twin boys while Doug travels with the Stars On Ice tour as a performance director.

Lad, I always remember Doug Ladret for his 1987, in which he skated all his competitions in a hockey helmet due to having had a severe head injury in 1986. Tuffy had a truly winning personality on ice. I'm glad to hear that she and Doug are both doing well.
