I'm already getting nervous for B&A :frown:

I think Domnina and Shabalin may already have won this . Even though I don't want to admit it.

Belbin and Agosto will need some help from D/S if they want to win but doesn't look like it won't happen

I wouldn't be surprised if B/A won the FD but it won't be by the 4 point margin they need to win unfortunately.

With the lead Domnina/Shabalin have they would have to fall in the free dance to be in danger of losing. Belbin/Agosto needed to pick up ground in the OD after the CD standings to have a chance, and that didnt happen. For Belbin/Agosto a more realistic goal would be aiming to win the FD, but I am not sure if that will even happen or not.

 I think Domnina and Shabalin must've done something illegal to end up with less than 90 points! That the judges probably couldn't excuse no matter how much they wanted to.
Ah well, all's well that ends well. :rolleye:
Dug the Kerrs. Though it's clear they won't get anywhere with the judges.:eek:hwell:

IMO D/S FD looked awlful. Even if skated clean (which wasn't the case) i still hate that dance and Oksana's dress..
I don't like B/A dance either..
But i loved F/S FD and Kerrs FD( i find it very original but they've made too many mistakes) I can't wait to see again this FD later in the season when it gets more polished:rock:

Well Belbin/Agosto needed Domnina/Shabalin to have a terrible performance to win the event and that is in fact what happened. It is pretty obvious the judges were planning to give it to the Russians, they even got the highest PCS for that lame performance which is ridiculous. Tanith and Ben still must be concerned coming out of here, but atleast they get the win in the end. The Russians need to work on that awful free dance, no matter how much the judges like them they are going nowhere if they dont fix that majorly.

Congrats to B/A. I am glad they won. Contrary to what some believed the Russian team did not have the lock on Gold at this competition.

Actually it appears the Russian team did have the lock on gold here barring real problems. I dont even like the Russian team, however that is very obvious even in the aftermath. The Russian team won the first two programs, had a big overall lead, and even got the highest PCS in the free dance with a terrible performance. With a cleaner performance they would have blown Belbin/Agosto away in the end, they were clearly the judges preference at this event.

Remember, there were TWO Russian judges on the panel: one representing Russia and one representing Uzbekistan. If those two judges were randomly selected and the US judge was not, it's not so surprising that those PCS scores were so ridiculously high for DomShabs in the FD. I've studied protocols for a couple of years now, and what happens is certain judges will ALWAYS put their skaters first, and at the same time, will lowball their closest competitors.

DomShabs' PCS scores were so high to help make up for the dismal TES. This won't be the first time that tactic was employed; it started in the 6.0 system with the presentation mark, and now is being carried on using the PCS. I also think the PCS and GOEs in the CD and OD were boosted big time because it was known that DomShab's FD was in bad shape because Shabalin had had an appendectomy this summer and that impacted practices.

I'm sure their ALL their scores will hit a new high at CoR.
