Senior Ladies Short Program RESULTS

1st Ana Cecilia Cantu 43.21
2nd Michele Cantu 40.39

Michele Cantu, Skating to Tango Music with a black with white outfit.
Open her program with a nice 3loop-2toe combo, followed that with a nice 3salchow out of footwork into a nice deathdrop spin with good speed and nice transitions, Waltz Jump!!, layback spin into bielmann spin, Beautiful spiral sequence, circular step sequence and into her last move her combination spin nice job, great character.

Ana Cecilia Cantu, skating to some techno dance mix music in a black with hot pink outfit.
Open her program with a nice 3lutz a little bit two footed into a 2toe a little bit off balance on the 2toe and under-rotated, followed that with a 3flip out of footwork that she almost had and then she fell but nice attempt, nice deathdrop with good speed and nice variations, excellent spiral sequence, solid 2axel, nice straight line sequence, layback spin and into her last move her combination spin with nice unique positions and great speed and flexibility, great Job!!.

Senior Mens Short Program RESULTS

Adrian Alvarado, skating to some spanish music in a very nice brown outfit with some orange colors.
Open his program with a 3flip two footed 2toe combo, followed that with a 3salchow under-rotated and two footed out of footwork, then nice back sit spin- into sit spin with good positions and speed, circular footwork, 2axel hand down, deathdrop with nice canon ball position, straight line steps and into his last move combination spin good job.

Humberto Contreras, skating to spanish flamenco music mix with some latin sounds in black pants with a wine shirt.
Open his program with a great 3saw-2toe, followed that with a beautiful 3loop out of footwork and into his deathdrop spin with nice positions and speed, then back sit spin- into sit spin nice, circular footwork, huge 2axel with a big smile on his face, and into his straight line steps with great energy and so much passion, and into his last move his combination spin with excellent speed and a gorgeous layback position in the combo spin, excellent skate great energy and oh boy he brought the house down!!, with tears on his face at the end what a comeback for him afer missing last season great JOB!!

Luis Hernandez, skating to cirque du soleil in a black outfit with brown colors.
Open his program with a 3loop out of footwork where he fell, followed that with a huge 2toe-3toe combo great!, excellent straight line sequence, waltz jump!!, back sit spin- into sit spin nice positions and into a nice deathdrop with good variations, circular footwork nice choreography and into his last move his combo spin a little bit slow, very nice skate overall except for the two mistakes on the jumps.

Miguel Moyron, skating to Aranjuez in a black with hot pink outfit.
Open his program with a 2lutz over-rotated single toe, nice 3toe out of footwork, 2axel hang on, deathdrop spin with nice positions and into his straight line sequence a little bit slow, combo spin okay, looking very slow at this point and into his circular steps, back sit spin- into sit spin, looking very distracted at the end, dissapointing performance.

Senior Ladies Freeskate Report

Michele Cantu, skating to raphsody in blue in a purple outfit.
Open her program with a 2salchow, followed that with a gorgeous 3loop, deathdrop nice speed good positions, spirals sequence, 2loop step out-2toe, 2salchow,layback into bilemann nice, 1 1/2 salchow, 2toe, straight line steps, 2salchow-2toe-2toe combo, combo spin at the end, very dissapointing performance.

Open her program with a 3flip under-rotated and then fall, beautiful 3salchow, very nice choreography, 1 1/2 lutz, sit spin into back sit spin very nice positions and very fast, 3salchow two footed and little bit under- rotated, nice deathdrop spin, huge 2axel, another 2axel fall, spiral sequence very slow, 2axel step out, combo spin, straight line steps, and her last spin back camel to back sit spin to Y spin, not her best but strong enough to put her in 1st place.

Senior Mens Freeskate Report

Miguel Moyron, skating to prince of egypt in a black outfit.
Open his program with a 3lutz two footed -2toe combo, 3flip two footed step out and hand down, beautiful 3salchow, 3toe-2toe-2toe step out of the last 2toe and hands down, 2axel hang on, 2toe, layback spin, straight line steps, 2axel hang on, flying camel into donut spin, circular steps, deathdrop spin and combo spin to end, strong performance good job!!.

Adrian Alvarado, skating to Carmen in a black and red outfit.
Open his program with a huge 3flip two footed and then fall, another 3flip under-rotated two footed and fall again, 2salchow, combo spin, 2axel two footed, another 2axel step out, circular steps, 2salchow-single toe-single toe combo, deathdrop spin, 2lutz, back sit spin- into sit spin, straight line steps very slow, and combo spin to end very dissapointing performance.

Open his program with a nice 2axel-2toe, 2lutz, upright spin combo, 2flip-2toe, nice 2axel, straight line steps, deathdrop spin, nice spread eagles with a big smile, gorgeous 3 salchow, superb layback spin position, and another clean 2axel, circular steps and his last move combination spin excellent performance and he brought the house down again, he looks very happy and he got a partial standing ovation from the crowd, what a comeback for him great JOB!!

Open his program with a nice 2lutz, 3toe hang on, 3loop bad fall, 2salchow, upright spin combo, excellent circular step sequence, deathdrop very fast good positions, very nice choreography and skating in between, 3loop fall, 2axel hang on, combo spin, straight line steps, and his last move flying camel into back sit spin and upright spin to end nice program too bad for the two falls but strong enough to but him in 1st overall.

Are there really only 2 ladies skaters and 4 mens skaters in the entire senior event? Why is the entire competition 5 days long?

YES, there's only 2 senior ladies, and 4 senior men, there's no pairs, and the only ice dance team mexico had laura and luke muñana have officially retired from competition, and the competition last 5 days cause they have all levels of competition from basic through senior.
