Tanith and Ben are putting on a big show December 22 in the Detroit area to raise money for cancer research. Oksana Baiul and Evan Lysacek (how's that for an odd couple ) are scheduled to skate. Tanith and Ben are promising some big production numbers and not just "one skater coming out after another."
The show benefits the Karmanos Cancer Center. The Karmanos family owns Compuware, a big computer outfit. The show will be at the Compuware Ice Arena (home of a local hockey team not far from the Arctic Edge, where B&A train).
Two years ago Compuware also donated the rink for Tanith and Ben to put on a benefit to aid the tsunami victims. They raised $40,000 at that one. (And I got to meet Aaron Parchem, who was working the spotlight. )
