I figure that an ice skating forum is as good a place as any to talk about this, seeing as this involves a television special with some ice skating. A mystery that has been nagging at me for the last 42 years is the identity of the two identical twins in the magenta dresses that appear in THIS video at 3:44 - 4:44 and again at 11:31. They never appeared in the comic strip, or in any other Charlie Brown TV special. It could be that the artists just wanted the scene to look fuller and they ran out of familiar characters. Remember, this is 1965 and Peppermint Patty and Marcie wouldn't debut until a few months later. No Peanuts website will even acknowledge their existence. I'm wondering if they could possibly be the forerunners of the Sherri and Terri twins on "The Simpsons," who also wear purple dresses.
