    S/S are in a field of their own at this competition. I actually like them better than the two chinese teams. Their speed, posture, transitions and flow is amazing.

    I agree. This team when on are the best, imo. Her death spiral was amazing

    Thanks for the links.

    The really make it a dance. I love the way that they have somthing interesting going in and out of the bid elemnets.. and the throw just comes at you, not with a long set up like the chinese. teh spins were perfecty in sync, somthing pang and tong still have to master. I think that we are watching the 2008 world champs.

    Not bad for a team just out of Juniors. Ms McLaughlin is barely15 and very young for this crowd. However, she needs work on landing jumps whether singley or in throws. Otherwise they are doing better than expected. Wait till next year, the US may have a really strong Pairs team.

    WOW, the Germans were spectacular! There was no appearance of doubt or caution in that performance. I would expect them to win this event and the World Championships are shaping up to be a battle in the medals between S/S, Z/Z, and P/T. I really hope Dube & Davison rebound in the LP. They should be capable of the silver medal given the competition at this event.

    Some thoughts... Thanks for the videos!!

    SP - McLAUGHLIN / BRUBAKER (USA) --> 4th place
    They're good, but I think McLaughlin's jumps/throws have never been solid, it will hurt them in the long run.

    SP - SAVCHENKO / SZOLKOWY --> 1st place
    Of course they're in class of their own, this is my favorite pairs SP this season.

    SP - DUBE / DAVISON --> 3rd place
    I'm really not impressed with this pair. Their technical ability has been stagnant, and they don't have consistency either. They have had at least one fall/pop for each of their GP assignment. I will put this pair behind V/M, K/S and M/T or even L/H!

    SP - LANGLOIS / HAY --> 5th place
    I always like them but have been frustrated by international judges' bias. They've always put out decent performances but have never gotten enough credit. PCS is way too low for this pair, can somebody tell me why?? Are they slow??? If K&S can score close to 7 on average at 'Cup of Russia', how can L&H only get 5s...

    SP - VOLOSOZHAR / MOROZOV --> 2nd place
    Wonderful performance. This is my second favorite pairs SP this season. Scores were too low, I think they had the same problem facing P&T. The non-jump elements have been downgraded. This program should score at least 65 points. They have the technical goods and presentation skills to contend for world medals. Consistency is their problem.

    SP - Jiaqi LI / Jiankun XU --> 6th place
    Good posture, lifts and twists, improved spins. However, this pair's throw and jump technique is not solid. I'm afraid the other Chinese pair W/Z will soon overtake them... W/Z's major weaknesses are twists & lifts...

    SP - PIATKOWSKA / KHROMIN --> 7th place
    They're always fun to watch. They always have spunky program and I love to watch them at GP events even they may never have the chance to advance into even 2nd tier at worlds. Their technique is not solid, and small height difference is hindering their development.

    Totally agree about Langlois and Hay being undermark. Very polish team, whose is solid in all their elements (except for their sbs spins). Judges are overlooking them for sure. Pity cause their one of few pair teams that I won't fall asleep over.

    Though, the Throw T.Lutz has been as struggle for them lately....

    I agree, I felt L&H were undermarked. I like M&B but this was a bad performance for them, and I would have had L&H ahead.
