Yes, I believe that Caroline is in with 24 points. Ando and Meier should both have 22 points. If Meier had gotten 1.53 more CoP points here, she would've been in and Kostner out. Both Kostner and Ando both have slightly less overall CoP points than Caroline. (So Takeda did not knock her teammate Ando out of the GPF.)

Btw, I think Carolina's programs this year - both the SP and the LP - are the most artistic and inspired of all the ladies skating this year. I even prefer them to Yuna and Mao's.
Now, this is of course a matter of personal taste and I am ok with everyone else preferring either Yuna or Mao's programs. I just wanted to draw attention to Carolina's talent and remind everyone just how talented she is and what a pleasure it is to watch her. Even if she doesn't medal ever again at Worlds, I am glad she is skating.

Yeah this is the first level4 step sequence in a ISU ladies event!
Plus, I think she's the first italian lady to win a GP event. She's our girl of records

You'll have to check on FSU, because I don't remember clearly, but IIRC the article said that Mao has already been recored as the first lady to get lvl4. The title of the article was something like "Without warning Mao Asada records first in the world".
Speaking of levels, wasn't the technical caller a bit more merciful than usual..? The skaters this season had troubles getting good levels, usually ending up with level 1 or 2. YuNa got lvl1 in CoC, Akiko (who got lvl4 in national competition and had really difficult footwork) got lvl1 at Spin of Zagreb, Mao had trouble getting lvl4 again. Today, however, all the top ladies got lvl3, Caro - 4. Daisuke's footwork also wasn't scoring very high.
A good thing, IMHO, because I was afraid that is Mao's zigzag sequence still couldn't score lvl4 again, then getting lvl4 would require sending an electric current through the rink. I couldn't imagine a skater skating to slow (or normal, for that matter) music and getting a good level because of all the requirements.

I think that article was from a local newspaper, so I'm still waiting to see how the official comment comes out on the ISU review. Anyway, good for Caroline to show that levels are not all about arm-flailing and endless twizzles. I believe she was rewarded with that Level 4 due to her deep, secure and fast changing edges.
I agree with you that the callers were quite lenient (not only on levels, but also on rotations) at NHK. It has always been that way, probably they're feeling more generous as the season goes by.

I wanted Alissa to medal. It looks like the opportunity was there. At least she only fell once. Maybe she is on the right track for Nationals.
