Avatar FAQ (Updated Feb 11, 2010)
Q: What is an Avatar and how do I get one?
A: Avatars are the small square graphical images that you see under a poster's username.
Note: You must have a minimum of 25 posts in order to use these Avatars.
Here's how to do it:
Q: Is my Avatar unique to my username, or will others be able to use the same one?
- You must first login
- Go to Settings
- Edit Avatar
> select your avatar
> Click "Save Changes"
A: No. Others will be able to use the same, but there are many to choose from!
Q: I want to use my own personal/custom avatar. Can I do this?
A: Absolutely! Once you have 100+ posts, a feature will appear in the "Edit Avatar" settings for you to upload an image.
Q: What are the file and size restrictions?
A: Avatars should be 60x60 and no larger than 10KB (.gif or .jpg formats only). No religious, political, pornographic, or questionable images allowed. If you are in doubt, than most likely the image is not suitable for this forum. Those who abuse this privilege will be banned without notice.
Q: Are animations allowed in the Custom Avatars?
