Avatar FAQ (Updated Feb 11, 2010)

To Edit (or created) your avatar in the New Release, click on Forum Actions at the top of any forum page.

From the drop down, click on Edit Profile.

You will see your profile. In the list of things you can work on, in the left hand column, is My Settings. Under My Settings is Edit Avatar. Double click on it.
Make sure that Do Not Display Avatar (near the top of the page) is not checked.

If you go to the bottom you will see a drop down where you can pick an avatar from Ladies, Men, Pairs, or Dance. Check the one you want and then pick Save on the bottom of the page.

Hmm, my avatar is not showing up and the Do Not Display Avatar box is not checked. Can't figure out why. Maybe it's my work computer.

Wicked, It's not your quote.

For some reason, the URL of your image has gotten lost. Please reload it? To do so, go to Edit profile, Edit Avatar, and then Upload your picture.

Fixed now. Yay! Here's the weird thing, when I went into my profile, the avatar was there and the Do Not Display box was not checked. But it was not showing up. Doris, did you work some magic?

Yes. I thought about it for a while. For some reason the new release was not finding your avatar, but I could see it on your profile. So I downloaded the lotuspicture, and then uploaded it again as your avatar, which gave it a new locations that the new release could find

It worked!!

We are currently working with the avatar issue and apologize for the problems. It appears the new upgrade as overwritten our previous script

I'm having the same exact problem as Wicked. I've tried & tried about a dozen times, and am unable to fix it. My avatar is showing up in My Profile under Edit Avatar, but is *not* showing up on the forum. Thanks for your assistance, time, and patience.

Fixed. At least for you. But I'm not clear why when you try to upload it, it doesn't take. I hope when the fixed version of this release comes out that things will be better.

My avatar wasn't showing up, so I went to edit my avatar. And once there, joy of joys, the option to put in a custom avatar was also gone. What gives?

This new thingy is freaking me out. It's all confused now! I can't use custom avatars either, I somehow can't see Seniorita's signature, but I see Toni's, Nadine's and mine...

AAAAAhhhhh! Someone please explain this to me!
