    I voted for Janet

but if Kristi had been on there she'd have been my pick... how many years out of olympic competition and she's still got her jumps?

I voted for Katarina. All those medals, plus people outside of the skating world liked her and got to know her (before Playboy ). She also is still a well known name 15 years after she turned pro. It's hard to say about Michelle, because she's not done yet.

If you go by staying power, medals and events won, longevity in the sport, you'd have to go with either Kat or Michelle. My personal fav, however, of the ladies listed would be Janet.....42

Personally my favourite is Irina. In a weird way I just love her, I’ve seen her grow up from a little girl to a young lady. So that plays in on my decision.

Now don't get mad but I find that you are mixing apples with oranges due to have Olympic medalists mixed with non Olympic medalists, so I voted for Peggy.

    Thumbs up

Michelle Kwan!!! I've heard alot of great things about Janet Lynn, but it is so hard to judge skaters that were before my time. So, based on my knowledge, Michelle Kwan wins hands down!

I voted for "other" (Sonia Henie), because the greatest lady skater of all time has to have won the Olympics AT LEAST once.

I think Michelle is the most reliable. She has been a steady competitor for years now. YOu can count on her to not make the mistakes others make.

Oh my! I wouldn't say the "Olympic-Gold-medal-issue" is exactly my problem or ... "obsession" ... :D

Don't get me wrong, I love the Olympic games. It's a wonderful pageant. Flags waving, bands playing, fireworks going off -- there is even some figure skating!

But one thing for sure -- if you win an Olympic gold medal, you will have won an Olympic gold medal. Ta da!

    Your pal, Mathman
