Today is Anne Frank's birthday. Had she lived, she would be turning 79 today...

A noteworthy event indeed! Who has not been touched by this story? I wonder if they were able to save the tree that Ann gazed on outside her prison walls?

Our nearest elementary school was renamed Anne Frank Elementary School a number of years ago on June 12. Hopefully all the students at the school are taught about her.

I didn't realize her birthday was so close when I checked out a book about her, last Tuesday. I've been reading it all week.
